Collaborative Prototyping with ProtoShare Business Edition Now Available for Mobile Apps

ProtoShare introduces new mobile prototyping capabilities along with other updates that support efficient cross-team collaboration in the development of websites and web applications.

Portland, Ore. – April 9, 2012 – Site9, Inc., developer of ProtoShare, the first tool to wed collaboration with wireframing and prototyping, today announced new mobile prototyping capabilities for the ProtoShare Business Edition with the release of ProtoShare 6.2. The latest version includes a number of new features specifically designed to help website and web app UX, design and development teams create prototypes for all popular mobile device platforms. The ProtoShare 6.2 release further extends the capabilities of ProtoShare 6, announced in January, which includes a significantly enhanced collaboration engine and workflows that support team communication and better decision-making throughout the lifecycle of a design project, from initial concept to coding.

The ProtoShare Business Edition now includes pre-configured mobile screen guides for popular mobile devices in both portrait and landscape views. The new View-on-Device feature enables users to view and test prototypes directly on their iPhone, iPad, Android or other mobile device. New 2D and 3D animated transitions simulate native applications with greater fidelity. ProtoShare Business Edition will also provide access to a library of pre-built mobile stencils.

"Additional mobile support has been our number one customer request,” said Andrew Mottaz, founder, president and CTO of Site9/ProtoShare. “Quickly prototyping, testing on the device, and seeing your updates and changes immediately on the device make rapid iteration of mobile prototypes incredibly easy. We’re excited to see what our customers will do with this new functionality.”
